A Better Way

Unlike the wire method, the new RSC System provides true rigid fixation, or joining-together, of the sternum. This means that your body motions are much less likely to create movement in the healing sternum. And this, in turn can mean faster healing, less discomfort and reduced risk of infection.

This is achieved through the Talon System. Essentially, it is a secure clamp that "grabs" both sides of the sternum and holds them together with very strong mechanical forces.
